Hello MethoBloggers - I'm New to The Site

"Theology is written for the small community of those who would think of reading it"

From Marilynne Robinson’s “Dietrich Bonhoeffer” in The Death of Adam(117)

I am so glad to now be a part of the MethoBlog community of contributors. I would encourage you to check out my website www.JacobFields.org read some posts and leave me some feedback. If you would like more direct updates than the MethoBlog feed I encourage you to sign up for my email list.
I look forward to sharing how I see the world through the lens of my faith with you.

Friends,
If you are reading at this point you probably fall into that "Small Community" the quote refers to, and for that I am very excited. On this website I try very hard to apply my faith to the world around me, my commentary that flows from that is what some call "Theology" and what others call "Blog Post", and even more skeptical people call "cries for attention."
I call it theology, in fact for me it is Wesleyan theology. For me this includes posts about current events, Family, life in ministry, spiritual life, and even business. The category of posts that I include on this site that some say fits the least is "business." Well I have yet to meet a Methodist pastor who would argue against Wesley's approach to money of "Make Save Give," and if you ask me, business has a lot to do with the first part of that equation. Of course if you disagree with Wesley I would love to hear from you in the comments below... If you disagree with ME on the other hand just stop reading.
Just kidding, feel free to disagree with me whenever you want.
Please read some posts and give me feedback, if I know what type of post you enjoy reading I will be intentional about delivering more content that speaks to you.
