Praying for This week Jan 23rd

These are the things I am praying for this week:

1. Prayer of Thanksgiving - For being back with a new semester at Perkins. I just love the community of people here and they bless my soul. Additionally one of the situations that I was praying for last week that I could not share has come to the best possible resolution.
2. Guillain barre Syndrome - A family member of mine has been diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. She has 3 young children and works as a teacher/coach. A blood drive has been started for her you can check out what is going on with #donate4diedre on Facebook and Twitter.
3. Olympics - There has been a lot of things going on leading up the the Winter Olympic games in Sochi Russia. There have been threats of violence so significant that there will be military on standby. In addition to the policies that effect the homosexual athletes and community in Russia.

Consider Joining me in praying about these things.

Things I am praying for This Week - Jan 8th

So I am going to try and start posting a short video and post about the things that I am praying about each week. This is the first one so the video part will improve as I figure out what I am doing. I will talk about 3 things, then in the blog post I will add a list of any names of individuals who have asked me to pray for them. I hope you will join me in praying about these things and fill 2014 with more praying.

Things I am praying About

1. The Abilene Community - There are two major situations that are affecting a lot of the people I knew and loved while I lived in Abilene. The tragic murder of Lauren Bump, and the missing person situation with John (Brendan) Boyd

2. The Students at Guyer High - This week a student Kyle Bird took his own life. Suicide sucks, if you are depressed please get help.

3. The Ordination Process - In January the Board Of Ordained Ministry and District Committee on Ministry in conferences all over are doing interviews to process individuals through a long and spiritual process of becoming Ordained in The United Methodist Church. I myself have paperwork due in a few days and an interview at the end of the month.

Let me know if there is something that I can join you in praying for.
